eCollege recently expanded its partnership with McGraw-Hill by providing instant access to ALEKS, an artificially intelligent assessment tool. Online math students on the eCollege platform now have access to a proven tutorial program that provides increased learning rates in online courses.
ALEKS (Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces) is an artificial intelligence-based system for individualized math learning, distributed in colleges and universities exclusively by McGraw-Hill. This powerful tutorial application accurately evaluates each individual student’s performance, guiding them toward appropriate, new study material and recording their progress in mastering learning objectives. By interacting with students as much as a human tutor would, ALEKS helps students focus clearly on what they need to learn.
Because of the artificial intelligence in ALEKS, it has been highly successful in higher education. The average historical student learning rates with ALEKS are 90%. The robust integration with the eCollege platform means that partner schools can now benefit from ALEKS’ proven results.
“The expansion of eCollege’s partnership with McGraw-Hill to include support of the ALEKS tutorial tool is a prime example of eCollege’s commitment to students and content agnosticism,” said Matthew Leavy, eCollege CEO. “This integration with ALEKS and McGraw-Hill demonstrates that eCollege remains focused on developing educational solutions that improve students’ lives and help them succeed.”
ALEKS unique tutorial program is delivered through a robust integration with the eCollege platform. To create a seamless student experience with the ALEKS and McGraw-Hill content, eCollege and McGraw-Hill have provided a single sign-on content solution for these enhanced courses.
The ALEKS library will be continually expanding, based on client needs. eCollege and McGraw-Hill currently offer Algebra Fundamentals (I and II) and College Algebra (I, II and III) with the ALEKS application.
