Getting an eLearning program off the ground involves more than course management and back-office system integrations. Online learning requires a different pedagogical approach that may be foreign to traditional classroom instructors. An online course must deliver the same learning objectives as its on-campus counterpart while using different tools.
To help our Educational Partners transition from on-campus to online instruction (or to help with advancing their online pedagogical knowledge), the Pearson eCollege Academic Services department offers the Academic Training and Consulting team.
This in-house team is comprised of instructional design consultants and trainers who provide certified online faculty training, instruction and consultation support for our Educational Partners’ faculty members and trainers. These academic training professionals collaborate with faculty members and Pearson eCollege’s Course Services team to help instructors create the most effective online course offerings possible.
Pearson eCollege’s Academic Training and Consulting team offers our partners their experience and insight with online faculty training and support. eCollege’s training options come in a variety of forms, allowing your institution to select a learning model that meets your needs.
To help instructors further, Pearson eCollege established the eTeaching Institute, which provides rich, online training for a variety of online instructional design topics. Pearson eCollege’s Academic Training and Consulting team offers eTeaching certification through on-site training, as well as online courses for faculty members using the Pearson eCollege platform.
